Abstract

This invention generally relates to a reversible thermosensitive coloring composition and a thermosensitive recording medium using thereof which have high light-resisting characteristics, wherein coloring and decolorizing can be repeated suitably. A reversible thermosensitive coloring composition of this invention comprises an electron donating chromophoric compound and an electron accepting compound, which has a colored state and a decolorized state based on a heated temperature and a difference between cooling speeds after being heated, said electron donating chromophoric compound including a compound having a general formula (I) ##STR1##
