Abstract

Novel cytarabine derivatives of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, which can be identical or different, are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, aliphatic C.sub.2 -C.sub.5 -acyl, benzoyl or carboxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkylcarbonyl are described. The compounds are suitable for use directly or in the form of immunoliposomes for controlling diseases. Methods of preparing the novel cytarabine derivatives are also disclosed.
