Abstract
A blender appliance for blending food includes a base with a motor therein. A blender receptacle is removably mounted on the base so that the motor will rotate a blade mounted in the receptacle. The blade is mounted midway along its length for rotation about on axis of rotation. The blade includes blade end tips extending upwardly parallel with the axis of rotation or alternative substantially perpendicularly to the blade adjacent its ends. The blade tips are beveled outwardly and rearwardly from their leading edges and the blade is also beveled downwardly and rearwardly from its leading edges.
