Abstract
It is directed to provide an Fe--Cr alloy exhibiting an excellent ridging resistance and surface characteristic, comprising: PA1 0.01% (percent by weight; the same as below) or less of C; PA1 1.0% or less of Si; PA1 1.0% or less of Mn; PA1 0.01 or less of S; PA1 9% or more to 50% or less of Cr; PA1 0.07% or less of A1; PA1 0.02% or less of N; PA1 0.01% or less of O; and PA1 the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities; wherein the C and N contents satisfy the following equations: EQU N(%)/C(%).gtoreq.2, and EQU 0.006.ltoreq.[C(%)+N(%)].ltoreq.0.025; and the Ti content satisfy the following equations: EQU {Ti(%)-2.times.S(%)-3.times.O(%)}/[C(%)+N(%)].ltoreq.4, and EQU [Ti(%)].times.[N(%)].ltoreq.30.times.10.sup.-4.
