Abstract
The invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising, in a mixture, 0.10 to 15% by weight of metal oxide nanopigments chosen from titanium, zinc, cerium or zirconium oxide or mixtures thereof, with a mean diameter of less than 100 nm, and 0.001 to 2% by weight of melanin pigments derived from natural or synthetic sources with a mean diameter of between 10 and 20,000 nm, in a cosmetically acceptable carrier. This composition is useful as a composition for protecting the human epidermis or the hair against UV rays or as make-up.
