Abstract
The present invention relates to a gas-liquid mixture especially for use as a fire extinguishing agent. The mixture contains PA1 a) at least one halogenated carbon or C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 hydrocarbon, PA1 b) a chemical compound having a high steam pressure and a low boiling point, high solubility in the halogenated compound and a capacity of dispersing the halogenated compound, and/or an inert gas. The invention also relates to a fire extinguishing unit and a method for using the mixture.
