Abstract

The present invention provides a golf ball which is superior in shot feel and controllability, and is superior in flight performance, durability and cut resistance and also have sufficient safety. The golf ball comprises a solid center, a thread rubber layer formed on the solid center and a cover formed on the thread rubber layer, PA1 wherein the solid center is composed of an inner spherical rubber formed of a vulcanized molded rubber composition containing an oily substance, and a coating layer of an oil-resistant substance for coating around the inner spherical rubber so as to prevent the bleeding of the oily substance of the inner spherical rubber, and PA1 the cover contains an ionomer resin as a main component and a cover composition constituting the cover has a stiffness modulus of from 70 to 280 MPs.
