Abstract
The present invention provides a magnetic recording medium which allows high density recording and exhibits excellent output characteristics and durability. A novel magnetic recording medium comprising a support and a magnetic layer provided on said support is provided, characterized in that said magnetic layer is formed by a magnetic coating composition comprising: PA1 (a) a polyurethane resin obtained by protecting isocyanate groups in an isocyanate terminated polyurethane prepolymer by an oxime compound; and PA1 (b) a compound containing one or more primary amino groups per molecule.
