Abstract
A composition comprising a water-in-oil polymer emulsion wherein the polymer is the reaction product of the following: PA1 (a) an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylate having between about 3 and about 6 carbon atoms; PA1 (b) an ethylenically unsaturated monomer which is nonionic in nature; PA1 (c) an ethylenically unsaturated monomer containing one or more sulfonate or sulfoalkyl groups; PA1 (d) an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having surface active properties; and PA1 (e) a crosslinking agent is provided. The composition has a multiple number of uses, such as in ink, pigment or dye thickening.
