Abstract
Oil-in-water emulsions containing an unstable retinoid (retinol or C.sub.2 -C.sub.3 ester thereof) in an oil phase. The retinoid is stabilized in the inventive emulsions, despite the presence of from about 50% to about 98% of an aqueous phase. The emulsions also preferably include a hydroxy acid.
