Abstract
A method of modelling at least travel time and apparent dip from seismic data that has been processed by at least one migration operator comprising the steps of taking the mid-point (N.sub.1) of a source (S)/receiver (R) system, applying ray tracing to the system relative to a given reflector, processing the parameters of the ray using a migration operator to obtain a first point of arrival (N'.sub.1) marked on the model, determining the offset (.DELTA.e1), and proceeding iteratively at each new point of arrival (N'.sub.i) until the offset (.DELTA.E) is less than or equal to the predetermined offset (.DELTA.e).
