Abstract

Use of near-azeotropic mixtures of hydrofluorocarbons with butane or isobutane selected from: PA0 A) 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a) 5-88% by wt PA1 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoropropane (HFC-227ea) 12-95% by wt PA0 B) 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a) 10-87% by wt PA1 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoropropane (HFC-227ea) 12-81% by wt PA1 n-butane 1-30% by wt PA0 C) 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a) 18-69% by wt PA1 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoropropane (HFC 227ea) 30-81% by wt PA1 isobutane 1-30% by wt as propellant fluids for aerosol. Said mixtures have zero ODP, very low GWP, no or low inflammability, insignificant pressure loss during the use and good solubility towards the typical solvents of aerosol formulations.
