Abstract
A method and composition is provided for treating skin to achieve lightening by employing an active of the structure: ##STR1## wherein R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, hydroxy and C.sub.1 -C.sub.30 alkyl or aryl groups radicals; and PA1 R.sup.1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C.sub.1 -C.sub.30 alkyl or aryl radicals.
