Abstract

The thermal stability of an N,N-dinitramide salt of the formula M.sup.+ N(NO.sub.2).sub.2 !.sup.- where M.sup.+ is a nitrogen-containing cation, is improved by mixing with the N,N-dinitramide salt a compound of the formula ##STR1## where R, R' and R" are the same or different and are aryl or alkyl. A new composition of matter is formed by mixing the N,N-dinitramide salt and the prophosphatrane compound.
