Abstract

Dye mixtures include one or more pyridone dyes of the formula ##STR1## where M is a pyridone or triazolopyridone radical which is linked to the thiazole ring via nitrogen or CH and the rest of the radicals are each as defined in the description, PA1 and one or more azo dyes of the formula EQU D--N=N--K, where D is the radical of a diazo component of the pyrrole, thiophene, pyrazole, thiazole, isothiazole, triazole, thiadiazole, benzothiophene, benzothiazole, benzisothiazole, pyridothiophene, pyrimidothiophene, thienothiophene or aniline series, and PA1 K is the radical of a coupling component of the aminothiazole, aniline or tetrahydroquinoline series, and are useful for thermal transfer.
