Abstract

A coating solution for forming a transparent and electrically conductive film contains fine conductive metal or alloy particles dispersed in a polar solvent and having a diameter not exceeding 50 nm. The metal particles are of silver and at least one of palladium, copper and gold. The alloy particles are of an alloy of silver with at least one of palladium, copper and gold. The solution permits the use of a baking temperature which is as low as 150.degree.-450.degree. C.
