Abstract

The present invention makes it an object to provide an ink jet head which enables to prevent ink droplets deposited on the discharging outlet face thereof from arriving at the discharging outlets arranged at the discharging outlet face whereby maintaining the discharging outlets in a state that defective ink discharging is not occurred, wherein the discharging outlet face contains a water repellent zone disposed to surround the discharging outlets and a recessed hydrophilic zone disposed in a region on one of the opposite outsides of the water repellent zone and which is distant by a desired distance from the arrangement of the discharging outlets. In the ink jet head, the recessed hydrophilic zone serves to take ink droplets deposited on the discharging outlet face thereinto and because of this, desirable printing can be attained even in the case where printing is conducted at a high speed printing or a high driving frequency.
