Abstract

N-Mercaptoacyl(amino acid or peptide)! compounds and S-lipophilic aliphatic carbonyl derivatives thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds, as well as the use of these compounds as antihypertensives by the inhibition of neutral endopeptidase and/or peptidyldipeptidase A are disclosed. Methods for preparing such compounds and derivatives are disclosed also.
