Abstract

Dye compositions of water-soluble dyes are described, containing at least one dye having 1 or 2 vinylsulfonyl groups and at least 1 dye having 1 or 2 groups of the general formula (A) EQU --S0.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --N(R)--V--X (A), (in which R is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms which may be interrupted by 1 or 2 hetero groups and substituted by sulfo, carboxy, hydroxy, sulfato, phosphato and/or lower alkanoylamino, V is a covalent bond or alkylene of 2 to 4 carbon atoms or a group of the formula --CO--NH--CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 -- and X is at water-solubilizing group), the dyes with the vinylsulfonyl group and the dyes with the group of the formula (A) being present in the ratio of from 90:10 mol-% to 60:40 mol-%, as well as dye compositions containing at least one water-soluble dyestuff having 1 or 2 vinylsulfonyl or .beta.-sulfatoethylsulfonyl groups, and containing an amino compound of the general formula (B) EQU H--N(R)--V--X (B) the dye(s) with the vinylsulfonyl and/or .beta.-sulfatoethylsulfonyl groups being present relative to the amine of formula (B) in the ratio of from 100:10 mol-% to 100:40 mol-%.
