Abstract
A method and apparatus are described for cleaning fabrics and clothes in a liquid medium wherein a vacuum drying step is effected at a pressure ranging from 1.5.times.10.sup.3 Pa to 15.times.10.sup.3 Pa in the presence of steam which is injected into the drying process at a pressure between 0.8.times.10.sup.4 to 8.times.10.sup.4 Pa and which is used as a carrier for removing the cleaning liquid.
