Abstract
The present invention provides an image forming apparatus having an image bearing member for bearing an image, and a transfer material bearing member for bearing a transfer material to which the image is transferred from the image bearing member, and wherein volume resistivity of the transfer material bearing member is 10.sup.14 .OMEGA.cm or more, and surface resistivity of upper and lower surfaces of the transfer material bearing member is 10.sup.7 to 10.sup.13 .OMEGA./.quadrature..
