Abstract

A particulate agglomerated carrier is described which is suitable for use in admixture with a laundry detergent composition and which is capable of depositing an effective amount of an antibacterial agent on laundered fabrics and for providing an effective amount of same in the wash solution. The carrier is an agglomerate of (i) a soil release copolymer of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyoxyethylene terephthalate (POET); and (ii) an antibacterial agent. Also, described is a laundry detergent composition containing such agglomerated carrier and process for depositing an effective amount of an antibacterial agent on laundered fabrics and for providing such antibacterial agent in the wash solution.
