Abstract
The invention relates to novel compounds of formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, hydroxy or alkoxy; PA1 R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 may be hydrogen or alkyl; and PA1 n is 0,1 or 2; and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The invention also relates to the processes for preparing the compounds of formula (I), and the pharmaceutical compositions containing them, and their use as a low density lipoprotein peroxidation inhibitors, anti-atherosclerotic agents and/or antihyperlipidemic agents.
