Abstract
The present invention relates to a novel polymeric ultraviolet(UV) screening agent comprising at least one monomer represented by the following formula (I) in the molecule: ##STR1## in which X represents the following formula (II) or (III), ##STR2## wherein R represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 cycloalkyl which can be optionally substituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl, and to a process for preparing the same.
