Abstract

N-Heteroaryl-N'-(pyrid-2-yl-sulfonyl)ureas, processes for their preparation, and their use as herbicides and plant growth regulators Compounds of the formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 -R.sup.4, A, n, m and w are as defined in claim 1, are suitable as herbicides for controlling harmful plants and can be prepared, inter alia, from the sulfonamides of the formula (II) ##STR2## by reacting them with carbamates R*O--CO--NR.sup.4 --A.
