Abstract

Method for coating the surface of polycarbonate moulded parts, with a polycarbonate based on a diphenol of formula (Ia) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, X and m are defined herein, and a material (b), which has been obtained by hydrolytic polycondensation of an aluminum compound of an organofunctional silane and an oxide component.
