Abstract

A sealable, transparent, biaxially oriented multilayer polypropylene film comprising a core layer, optionally one or more intermediate layers located on one or both sides of the core layer, and at least one top layer on the one or more intermediate layers or on one or both sides of the core layer, wherein the core layer contains a polypropylene polymer or a polypropylene mixture; the optional intermediate layers consist essentially of a polypropylene polymer or a polypropylene mixture; and wherein at least one top layer is sealable, comprises a polyolefin copolymer or terpolymer, has a thickness of .ltoreq.0.4 .mu.m, and does not contain silicon dioxide or polydimethylsiloxane. The film is suitable as a packaging or wrapping film.
