Abstract
The invention relates to a composite material having a high refractive index, its production process, as well as optically active materials such as antireflection materials and reflecting materials manufactured from the composite material. This composition material with a high refractive index is characterized in that it comprises SiO.sub.2 or metal oxide colloids (1), coated in a polyvinyl material (3), soluble in a water-containing alcoholic solvent.
