Abstract

Improved package assemblies for containers, the packaging assemblies comprising a rigid base member having at least one row of containers removably secured to the base member by frangible adhesive, a cover member and a film of plastic material passing over the base member, the containers and the cover member and secured to itself to further secure the containers in assembly therewith. An improved package assembly according to the present invention may also have at least two layers of containers, such a package assembly comprising a rigid base member, a first layer of containers removably secured to the base member by frangible adhesive, at least one additional layer of containers removably secured to at least one intermediate pad by frangible adhesive, said at least one additional layer being placed on top of the first layer of containers, a cover member placed over the uppermost layer of containers, and a film of plastic material passing over the base member, the containers, the at least one intermediate pad and the cover member and secured to itself to further secure the containers in assembly therewith.
