Abstract
Solid catalyst components for olefin polymerization which comprise a solid carrier components comprising a solid substance having the general formula EQU MgX.sub.2.(E).sub.n ( 1) wherein X is a halogen atom, E is a monoether compound and n is 0.01.about.4, at least a portion of said E being replaced by an eletron donative compound different from said monoether compound (E), and a titanium compound and these catalyst components can produce an olefin polymer having a high stereoregularity in a high polymer yield per unit of a catalyst component in olefin polymerization.
