Abstract

The invention relates to a cosmetic and/or dermatological composition containing at least one protein selected from proteins of plant origin and animal origin, wherein the protein may or may not be hydrolysed, and at least one crosslinked poly(2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulphonic acid) polymer neutralized to at least 90%, and to its uses. The composition comprises, distributed randomly, PA1 a) from 90 to 99.9% by weight of units of formula (1): ##STR1## in which X.sup.+ denotes a cation or a mixture of cations, it being possible for at most 10 mol % of the cations X.sup.+ to be protons H.sup.+ ; and PA1 b) from 0.01 to 10% by weight of crosslinking units resulting from at least one monomer having at least two olefinic double bonds, the proportions by weight being defined with respect to the total weight of the polymer.
