Abstract

A process for manufacturing dental prosthetics based on ceramics including the following steps: PA1 machine-processing a prefabricated shaped body to form a molded body with the patient's situation being considered, said prefabricated shaped body consisting of at least one oxide-ceramic material selected from the group consisting of aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, zirconium oxide, and titanium oxide and minor amounts of siliceous additives; PA1 compacting the thus obtained molded body; and PA1 optionally jacketing the compacted molded body.
