Abstract
An aqueous hair setting composition, comprising: (a) from about 0.1% to about 15%, by weight, of a cationic, water soluble polymeric hair setting agent, said hair setting agent being a silicone macromer-grafted copolymer derived by polymerization of: (i) from about 1% to about 20%, by weight, silicone macromers; (ii) from about 5% to about 75%, by weight, nonionic, quaternizable monomers; and (iii) from about 5% to about 90%, by weight, nonionic, water soluble, non-quaternizable monomers; wherein at least about 5 wt/%, of the monomers, calculated by total weight of the copolymer, are quaternized and said copolymer has a backbone having a Tg of from about 30.degree. C. to about 140.degree. C.; and (b) from about 75% to about 99.9%, by weight, water.
