Abstract

A multidose transdermal drug delivery system comprises a laminate composite with a plurality of compartments. Each compartment is a reservoir for a unit dose of a drug active to be transdermally administered. The assembly is adhesively secured to the skin of a patient. Individual seals are provided for resealably enclosing the drug active in each of the reservoirs. The individual enclosing seals are removable to release the unit dose into contact with the skin of the patient and are actuable to control the transdermal absorption of the drug actives. Provisions are also made to automatically indicate the activation of the drug and to prevent an accidental release of medicament.
