Abstract

A system and method that blocks access to a computer device, for example a direct memory access controllerdevice (50), coupled to a PCI bus (30). In a computer system (10) with a PCI bus (30), the present invention couples a glue logic circuit (70) to the PCI bus (30) to block access to the target computer device. The glue logic circuit (70) can also allow access to a requested computer device. In another aspect, the present invention couples a control module (170) to the PCI bus (30) to block access to the target computer device.
