Abstract
A pyrazole derivative represented by the general formula (1a) or (1b): wherein PA1 R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a pesticidally acceptable protecting group; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 represent a phenyl, 1-naphthyl or 2-naphthyl group, or a 5-6 membered heterocyclic ring and the like; R.sup.4 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, or a alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio group; and a herbicidal composition containing the pyrazole derivative.
