Abstract

4-Benzoylisothiazoles of the general formula 1 ##STR1## where the substituents have the following meanings: X is oxygen or sulfur; PA0 R.sup.3 is a radical of the general formula 2a-d ##STR2## where n, A, B and the substituents R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 have the meanings given in claim 1, salts of the 4-benzoylisothiazoles of the general formula 1 which are conventionally used in agriculture, processes for their preparation, and their use as herbicides.
