Abstract

The present invention relates to crude oils and products derived therefrom, comprising, as asphaltene-dispersing agent, sarcosinates of the formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is C.sub.7 -C.sub.21 -alkyl or -alkenyl and PA1 R.sub.2 is H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.22 -alkyl. Precipitating out of asphaltenes is prevented by these dispersing agents.
