Abstract

Disclosed is a catalyst system for the production of ethylene co-polymers by co-polymerisation of ethylene with further polymerisable monomers in the presence of a peroxide catalyst. The catalyst system contains components (A) and (B), component (A) being at least one organo-aluminium compound of the general formula AlR.sub.3, in which R is an alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl radical, and component (B) is at least one organic peroxide.
