Abstract

The present invention relates to a coating composition and a pigment dispersant comprising aldimine having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is alkyl, aryl, cycloaliphatic or substituted alkyl, aryl, cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic group, and R.sub.2 is monomeric or polymeric aliphatic, aromatic, arylaliphatic or cycloaliphatic group which may contain O, N, S, or Si. PA1 The coating composition further comprises: PA2 b) an isocyanate compound having ubetdione functionality, PA2 c) at least one moisture absorbing compound, and PA2 d) acid catalyst, wherein the coating composition demonstrates increased pot life and decreased dry time.
