The invention relates to novel 3-aryl-5-halogeno-pyrone derivatives of the formula (I) ##STR1## in which A, D, G, X, Y, Z and n are each as defined in the description, PA1 to a plurality of processes and intermediates for their preparation and to their use as pesticides and herbicides.
