Abstract
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each independently of the other hydrogen or a protecting group, or PA1 R.sub.1 has those meanings and PA1 R.sub.2 is a radical forming a phosphorus-containing nucleotide bridge group; PA1 B is a purine or pyrimidine radical or an analogue thereof; and PA1 R.sub.3 is OH, or F, and oligonucleotides that comprise those nucleosides are described.
