Abstract

Homo- or copolymers A composed of PA1 A.sub.1) 40-100% by weight of monomers of the general formula I ##STR1## A.sub.2) 0-60% by weight of monomers of the general formula II ##STR2## and A.sub.3) 0-10% by weight of further monomers capable of free radical polymerization, PA1 the percentages by weight of the monomers A.sub.1) to A.sub.3) summing to 100% and PA1 R.sup.1 and R.sup.4 being identical or different radicals and each being hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, PA1 R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.5, R.sup.6 being identical or different radicals and each being hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, PA1 with the proviso that at least two radicals from the group consisting of R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 and from the group consisting of R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are hydrogen, and PA1 R.sup.7 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, are used as branching agents for amino-containing thermoplastic polymers.
