Abstract

A method for isolating a fungus-responsive promoter comprising the steps of: PA1 (i) identifying a promoter sequence in the genomic DNA of a plant using a promoter-effective portion of the promoter of the gene of SEQ ID No. 1 as a hybridization probe, and PA1 (ii) isolating said fungus-responsive promoter.
