Abstract
The disclosure describes a photographic element comprising a support on which is coated at least one green-sensitized silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith at least one magenta dye-forming coupler of Formula (1a) and at least one compound of Formula (2) ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 is an alkyl group; PA1 R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, and R.sub.8 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent; PA1 Z is a hydrogen atom or a group that can be split off by the reaction of the coupler with an oxidized color-developing agent; ##STR2## wherein: Z.sub.1 and Z.sub.2 are alkylene groups of 1-3 carbon atoms; PA2 R is an aryl or heterocyclic group, and PA2 q is 1 or 2.
