Abstract

Biodegradable polyether esters are obtained by reacting a mixture of PA1 (a1) from 95 to 99.9% by weight of polyether ester obtained by reacting PA1 (b1) a mixture comprising PA1 20-95 mol % of adipic acid or ester-forming derivatives thereof or mixtures thereof, PA2 5-80 mol % of terephthalic acid or ester-forming derivatives thereof or mixtures thereof, and PA2 0-5 mol % of a compound which contains sulfonate groups, and PA1 (b2) a mixture of dihydroxy compounds, PA1 (a2) from 0.1 to 5% by weight of a divinyl ether C1 and PA1 (a3) from 0 to 5 mol %, based on component (b1) from the preparation of P1, of compound D, PA2 and other biodegradable polymers and thermoplastic molding compositions, processes for the preparation thereof, the use thereof for producing biodegradable moldings, and adhesives, biodegradable moldings, foams and blends with starch obtainable from the polymers and molding compositions according to the invention.
