Abstract
Recombinant human immunodeficiency virus producing cell that is obtained by introducing into an animal cell a recombinant human immunodeficiency virus helper plasmid containing at least the sequences of gag, pol and env genes encoded by a human immunodeficiency virus genome and being deficient of a packaging signal and which sustains said genes stably. The human immunodeficiency virus producing cell of the invention is capable of large-scale and consistent preparation of HIV vectors more efficiently than in the prior art.
