Abstract

A water-based composition for treating hair wherein the composition contains PA1 (a) a polymer selected from cationic, amphoteric, zwitterionic and nonionic polymers, PA1 (b) an alkyl polglycoside corresponding to formula (I): EQU RO--(Z).sub.x (I) PA1 in which PA2 R is an alkyl radical containing 6 to 22 carbon atoms, PA2 Z is a mono- or oligosaccharide, PA2 x is a number of 1.1 to 5, or adducts thereof with 1 to 10 moles of ethylene oxide or propylene oxide, and PA1 (c) a fatty alcohol.
