Abstract
The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for topical administration comprising a combination of foscarnet and an antiinflammatory glucocorticoid, in admixture with a carrier based on galactolipids and a polar solvent. The pharmaceutical composition can be used in a prophylactic and/or curative treatment of herpesvirus infections in mammals including man. The invention also relates to the use of said pharmaceutical composition in the manufacture of a medicament for said prophylactic or curative treatment.
