Abstract

Aminoisothiazoles of the formula I, where PA0 R is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl and PA0 X is halogen, NO.sub.2, CN or SCN, and metal complexes and acid addition salts thereof are used as microbicides for protecting industrial materials from being attacked and destroyed by microorganisms.
